Saarland University offers not only a stimulating and dynamic environment in which to study, but numerous other benefits, too. Many courses are organized as small-group sessions, which is why we can offer our students personal academic supervision throughout the entire duration of their studies. To maintain the high quality of our teaching, we regularly carry out academic quality audits. A particularly appealing feature is the range of international academic programmes with an integrated study-abroad phase leading to double-degree qualifications. With students and research scientists from more than 120 different countries on campus, our university is truly a global community. The Career Center can assist you with career planning, and its job portal allows you to search for employment opportunities as well as work placements and internships. Take a look at our broad range of innovative degree programmes and become part of our vibrant international community.
European Studies (B.A.)
The ‘European Studies’ programmes at Saarland University offer students the opportunity to study Europe in an interdisciplinary, future-focused way that is unique in Germany. Graduates enter the job market as highly qualified professionals in European affairs. We offer three areas of specialization: ’Geographies of Europe‘, ’Modern History‘ and ’Comparative Literary Studies‘ and students can select the one that best matches their interests. Graduates from the B. A. programme can go on to study for a wide range of interesting interdisciplinary Master's degree programmes. For those who want to enter the job market immediately after obtaining their Bachelor’s degree, there are career opportunities in areas such as European development, cross-border cooperation or media and culture.
