Goethe-Institut
A course at the Goethe-Institut is a good choice if you want to learn German. The Goethe-Instituts in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir offer German language courses for all target groups and on all levels. You have also the possibility to take the exams without having attended a Goethe-Institut course.

Language Certificates
You don’t need to take these tests if you have passed the Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD) or if you have earned an “Abitur” from a German-language secondary school.
However, there are various options to prove your German language level in terms of earning a language certificate usable for your university applications in Germany.
DSH courses and exams can be taken at different institutes. In order to have prove the needed language sufficiency in terms of accessing higher education in Germany, your DSH certificate must show the levels 2 or 3.

As a central and standardized language test, the Test of German as a Foreign Language (TestDaF) has been designed to proof the German language level for the university entrance. The exam is offered globally by licensed centers. In Turkey, the exam is conducted by the Goethe Instituts, Bursa Uludag University, Marmara University and the Bilkent Erzurum Labarotuvar School. The adequacy for the university entrance is given with a TestDaF result between 4-5.

The Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom (C2) can be obtained through the Goethe-Institutes and qualifies for the language criterion for accessing higher education.

A telc German C1 or C2 certificate, which you can acquire at various institutes in Turkey, also serve as a sufficient proof for your university entrance qualification.
